Nursing Excellence Continuing Education Services

Pamela Robbins is a 1978 graduate from Saint Joseph Hospital Diploma School of Nursing. She has worked as a staff nurse in the ICU/ PACU acute and ambulatory care setting. Mrs. Robbins received her BSN degree from the University of Saint Francis (USF) in 2007, and graduated with her Master’s degree in nursing administration from USF in 2013. As a member of her Illinois state professional nursing Association, Mrs. Robbins has served in elected association positions including Illinois Nurses Association President. Mrs. Robbins has been deeply involved in policy for decades: from union contract language to Illinois legislation and includes laws such as RN Circulator, No Mandatory Overtime in Hospitals, and was 2007 Nurse Practice Act Task Force Scope of Practice chair defining delegation, and scope of practice language. Mrs. Robbins continues to develop state policy protecting the public and promoting the practice of nursing, collaborating with other state organizations today. She currently is member of the Chicago Chapter National Black Nurses Association serving on their Health Policy Committee. Mrs. Robbins’ passion is awakening the professional nurse to wield their political power – to become change agents that will impact their nursing profession and the public’s health through regulation. Mrs. Robbins educates nurses to develop their political voice as a nurse constituents advising their legislators on supporting solid state and federal policy. Mrs. Robbins has been an Illinois, university, adjunct professor - she currently is a nurse professional development practitioner for Nursing Excellence Continuing Education Services, LLC. Mrs. Robbins served as an Illinois Healthcare Action Coalition Leadership sub-committee chair developed, and presented with nationally recognized speakers the IHAC 2015 two-part series webinar Nurses to the Boardroom! Mrs. Robbins has been as a member of Show Me Your Stethoscope and as a Nurses Take DC Organizer presenting CE programs at Nurses Take DC Conference 2017, 2018 and in 2020 in Washington DC.
